In 3 days I leave to Puerto Rico. It’s been 17 years since I have been there.
It’s a two part trip. I’ll be co-leading a trip of 7 high school girls and 1 guy for 1.5 weeks.
Then I’ll spend a week visiting con mi Abuelito y Abuelita on the farm/finca!
I have this little thing stirring in my spirit, that has been there for 2 years. That stepping foot back on the island, and letting God speak into things in my life, that it’s going to be something special.
There’s something unique, also, about leading and spending time with High Schoolers. This is going to help me tremendously in the ministry work we’re establishing in Guatemala, in reaching out to Guatemalan youth to mobilize them to the nations.
There’s also something real special about getting back to the main things, and the first things – things that are primary and most pivitol in life. Getting in close proximity with love, with lending a helping hand, with listening and helping offer direction in life. With letting God stir miracles, and life changing moments in lives. The next 3 weeks will sure be an adventure and I’m expecting it to be full of God’s inspiring and loving voice.
It’s a promised land, and a land of my past. Seeing the mix of these two realities become a reality for this one short time span in life has me nervously excited.
