In any trip of this magnitude there are so many things that can happen that so far surpass any expectation or experience we’ve ever had. And yet God has moved in powerful ways when people have believed and expected that He would act they in the ways that He has promised He would. We want to prepare our hearts for God’s work and for great things He may want to do so here are a few of our expectations for our trip:
- We expect to have all of our expectations blown
away.
We expect to see God move in and through the
people we encounter emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
We expect to be found in difficult situations
where only God can intervene.
We believe that as we go to “give” and to “pour
out” that we will be poured into by those who seem to have nothing.
We believe we’ll get to minister utilizing some
of the healing/counseling tools we’ve learned.
We expect to find ourselves having both,
mountain top and valley experiences on the trip.- We expect to make lifelong friends with
teammates and other people we may meet.
We expect to work very hard.
We expect to pray very hard.
We expect that we’ll experience need and God’s
provision for it.- We expect to see God move in mighty ways.
We expect that we will experience the limits of
our gifting and abilities.
We expect that we will be challenged in the ways
we relate to people on the team and the ways they relate to us.
We expect to grow in humility.
We expect to learn more about God’s love for the
lost.- We expect to have sinful and ungodly patterns
drawn out of us. - We expect we will grow more in love with Jesus
and each other.
