Middle of the year.

Month 2 of Africa.

I have been through this before.

It’s the same scenario I found myself in during the 2008
Race.

Team Kaleo – 2008

It’s that time
of the year:

Where the Start of the Race seems like a LONG
time ago.

And the End of the Race seems like a LONG
time away.

Everyone has been through so much by this point.

The excitement of new countries and travel has worn
off
.

Hard relationships are easier to give up on.

And homesickness runs high.

It’s not just this Adventurous Mission Trip anymore.

It’s LIFE.

We are in THE GRIND.

For most people (including me) this often extends
into month 8 and 9 as well.

By the time Month 10 comes around it’s easier
to face hard times

because the Race is almost over and

people start to realize how scared they are of going
home and how much they will miss Fellow Racers.

But right now that isn’t the case.

We are smack
dab in the middle
of THE GRIND.

I know when I get home I will miss my Teammates
and traveling as a Missionary.

My Team with the Squad Leaders in Cambodia.

Pray that I can remember that.

Pray that
I will:

-Not only get through THE GRIND but THRIVE
during this part of the Race

-Not settle in relationships or ministry.

-Lean into everything God has for me.

-Get beyond fleshly thoughts. Be Super-Intentional. Pray Big. Be Extra-Thankful.

Get EVERYTHINGGod has for me on this trip.

And DO EVERYTHINGHe has for me to do.
