My team and I are safely in the Philippines and will start ministry tomorrow.  Our contact has many active ministries, so I have no idea what I’ll be doing yet.  I’ll tell everyone as soon as I find out.  Almost everyone on my squad has started a 90 day countdown back to the States.   That’s a hard pill for me to swallow since I just got back and my Race is almost over.  I have no regrets for coming back to R Squad.  This is God’s place for me.  But getting back on a plane to the US in three months seems unreasonable in my spirit.  I believe God has more for me before I touch down on that final flight.

Recently, I received an invitation to serve independently with AIM in Ireland for June and July.  Although I have no funds yet for this, I know it’s an opportunity I must take.  I will be helping AIM’s long term missionaries with whatever they need; most likely summer youth camps.  Ireland’s war-torn history left no room for healthy options for its youth to grow and develop.  This time of peace in the country is an exceptional opportunity to rebuild society with a huge dose of God’s love for the people of Ireland.  The work of AIM’s long term staff is to establish drug free, alcohol free youth drop-in centers.  I will be doing whatever is needed to help them reach their goals.

Being back on the World Race has been challenging and amazing.  I’ll post some stories of my work in Cambodia soon and will have more to tell from the Philippines.  I’m asking for your financial support to help to finish my Race though; even though R Squad is ending soon.  I will soon have a new account where tax-deductible support can be given to fund my work in Ireland.  The anticipated cost is $4,000, including airfare, health insurance and money for incidentals that ALWAYS come up.  If you want to partner with me in this, you can contact me at [email protected].

I am believing that God is going to redeem all the time I’ve missed and put some fulfilling opportunities in my way to finish out this mission year.  I am so grateful you are still on the journey with me.  I couldn’t do it without you!
