If you think mission work is hard, try fundraising! OK, this is a slight exaggeration. But in all honesty, I have found the task of fundraising to be a true test of perseverance and courage. I honestly believe that my level of success on the mission field is somehow connected to my level of success at fundraising. I say this because fundraising requires individuals to step out of their comfort zone. It demands courage to ask others for support. It calls for complete dependence on God, lots of prayer and much patience—all requisites for any missionary.

With that said, I want to succeed at fundraising so that I can enter my next journey with The World Race with a new sense of confidence. These past couple of months have been extremely challenging in terms of raising funds. Initially, I was scheduled to depart September 2013, but due to my inability to raise the required funds by the desired deadline, I had to defer to January 2014. My first financial deadline is now September 27th, by which I must raise $2300 to complete the required $3500. I am yearning to depart as scheduled, but I need your help. I pray that if you are reading this blog, that you will determine in your heart to contribute financially toward the Lord’s mission. You can do so by clicking on the “Support Me!” link located on the left, and then simply follow the instructions.

This past week a good friend reminded me of the verse, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”  I am convince that this includes You, and all of the financial partners who make it possible for missionaries to Go and bring the Good News to the world.

Thank You!
