Month 7 – Tartu/Elva, Estonia
Host: Linden Vinalass
Ministry: “A Light in the Forrest” || a building site for a future English camp location for the children of Estonia. English camps are popular there and are an excellent and widely used method of sharing the gospel.
This month was spent doing manual labor on the site. Cutting, splitting, and stacking wood, chipping limbs into mulch to make a trail in the forrest, laying plumbing & electrical lines in foundation work, and pouring concrete were most of our daily duties. We also had the neighborhood kids over a few times for games and a Bible story & songs, rides in the tractor, and a watermelon spitting contest!
These are some of my favorite pictures to depict the month, it was a months of “1st”s for us! We used log splitters & chippers for the first time, Wayne ran the chainsaw like a boss, I got to drive the backhoe one time, we cooked over an open fire for the entire month for our meals, and we got to pour a foundation!

The fires were the biggest blessing we received this past month. We spent countless hours in front of the fireplace, as a couple & with our team bonding, reading scripture, and praying. It is amazing what community can be built just by working hard and resting hard together. We love you forever team Iris.
