Yard Sale update: Thanks to your donations, my moms hard work setting up and organizing, and a really early alarm clock we raised over $500 today! It was such a blessing to see the cars drive in one after another, and to get to tell every single person about what we were doing, and why. Our goal was $300 and God gave us so much more! He is faithful every single time. – CodieEphesians 3:8-21 || To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.For. This. Reason. That we may preach among the un-reached, and make ALL see what is the fellowship of Christ.
As we journey through this part of the World Race, yes, the fundraising part, some days it is really really really easy to focus on what we don’t have, and to dwell on the need that is still there – but what I am learning is that it is far FAR better to throw those thoughts in the trashcan. Because God has something greater than the best we can even think of.
All I can say is that He is the provider, and that we are so blessed by the support we have received from each and every single person. There is an amazing feeling knowing that someone believes in the work of the Lord, and in us carrying that into the world. There is also an amazing promise knowing that as we give we are blessed, and knowing that each and every one of you has something so special in store from the Father for your generosity to us.
Over the past month, since meeting our fundraising goal we have raised another $2,300 – and I’m not even sure where it all came from! We received our first monthly donor (Praise the Lord!), and several generous one time donations. We have sold many t-shirts, bracelets, & mugs – and we are constantly spreading the word.
Please continue your prayers, and spread our story as wide as You can. God so faithfully has continued to confirm His will for us in this through your support. We leave for 1 week of training camp on October 11th and covet your prayers in that.
