I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desperate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ the Lamb
And I’m welcomed with open arms
Praise God, just as I am

this journey thus far is unlike anything I have ever experienced; the ways I have seen God show Himself true to the calling, & the ways He has provided for our every financial need  b l o w s  my mind.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are you ways My ways”, says the Lord.”For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9

I’m not sure why, as humans, we are so quick to wonder if God has our best interest at heart, if He is withholding something that would be best for us. In this journey, we have goals, we have deadlines, and we HAVE to meet them, or the journey is over. We had to have $7,000 by September 27th – we had $7,000 on August 25th!! After that I thought I would like to raise $300 at our yard sale, we raised over $500! After that I thought it would be awesome to have $10,000 before training camp, we had that last Monday. TWO weeks early. After that I have had in my mind that I would like to be 30% funded by training camp, well training camp is on Saturday and an anonymous donation came in this morning that put us at 30%.  W H O A H  God.

For some reason, every time I have read that Isaiah chapter before today I have always read it in the light that God wouldn’t give me what I wanted, but I would just have to wait and see what He did give me and then trust that it was for the best. Today I read it completely differently. When our hearts are aligned with His, His desires become our desires, and He is then able to  b l o w  our minds! He is able to give so much more than we can imagine. He is able to bless, and to show us His higher ways!

“the gospel changes my view of God’s commandments, in that it helps me to see the heart of the Person from whom those commandments come. When I begin my train of though with the gospel, I realize that if God loved me enough to sacrifice His Son’s life for me, then He must be guided by that same love when He speaks His commandments to me.” – Milton Vincent

I say all this to ultimately thank you. Thank you for showing us God. Thank you for blessing us. Thank you for allowing us to spread this story and His truth. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Thank you for helping us reach $7k, $10k, and 30%, & thank you for continuing to pray, and carry us all the way to $30+ thousand!
Thank You!
