Words cannot quite describe our month here in Honduras… so maybe pictures can ๐Ÿ™‚  Enjoy!

Team Reckless Faith

Team Reckless Faith – we went to a park at the center of the city and prayed together for the people of Tegucigalpa

Ministry Project

This month we created a garden as a team.  Part of this was painting rocks to place in the garden.  Everyone on our team decorated their own- even Ty!

Sifting Soil

Ty is sifting the dirt to clear it of rocks.  Top soil is incredibly hard to come by in Honduras!

Kitchen

We are making a typical Honduran breakfast – beans, scrambled eggs, plantains, mantequilla (almost like mayonnaise?), tortillas, avacados, and cheese. The two ladies are Naomi and her daughter Amalia, who are in the process of bring 'transplanted' onto the property from Los Pinos, the most dangerous colony in Teguc.

Ty and I had the opportunity to take a night to ourselves at Villas del Valle in Valles de Angeles.  It was beautiful and much needed!

I say this half joking – these birds were angry!  There were 4 giagantic Scarlet Macaws in an enclosure outside our window… very loud!

We tried Pupusas, a Honduran food at this little cafe.  They were pretty good!  We thought the ones with cheese were much better ๐Ÿ™‚

On Friday afternoons we participate in 'Taking to the the Streets'.  It's pretty self explanatory – everyone stands on the street corner and spreads God's love to the afternoon traffic.  We may look pretty silly, but everyone has a great time!

This is the view from the prayer wall on Zion's Gate's property at sunset.  I love it!

Clearly Honduras should not be decribed in words, because this is an incredibly beautiful place full of life and  grace ๐Ÿ™‚
