Hello everyone!!!! First off, I wanted to apologize for the spelling errors in my last blog. All the kids I taught English only know mispelled words hahaha I joke. Anyway I have alot to write about because I have not posted a blog in a while. So let’s get down to it!!! Wooooooooo!!!
We spent our last week in Buriram, Thailand teaching at a high school. It was a blast because I could relate a little more to them than 6th graders. The language barrier, while prevalent was not as bad. We also went to the university for an afternoon to have conversations with English majors. That was an awesome experience. They were in their third year and some spoke great English and others did not, but they have a little while to go so there is more time to learn. The effort put forward by all of the students was admirable.
You know the saying, ” you don’t really know what you’ve got till it’s gone”, well that was the case with our ministry in Thailand. While we were there, it felt like we had been there for a while until we got to the bus station to head to Cambodia. Then it was like where did the time go? I was devastated when we were saying goodbye to Mr. Walker, who insists on being called Roger. I mean on the verge of balling thinking about all the kids at the elementary school, thinking about the kids at the orphanage, thinking about Roger and Pang (Roger’s wife, who by the way is one incredible woman). I was so sad and it all welled up inside me at that moment. I wasn’t even worrying about it on the way to the bus station. Its so funny how that works. God just wrecked me right in that moment and he really made me realize what impact our team had had on the lives of the people in Buriram and how much of an affect they had on me. I am absolutely in love with that place! I love what Roger does and I love all the children there. (I’m almost crying now haha)
Please prayerfully consider supporting Roger Walker and the Tree of Life Orphanage in Buriram, Thailand. Whether that be financially or in prayer, let God decide. Roger’s obedience is an example for all of us and not only does he take orphans in but he takes his ministry out to the surrounding schools. He has helped build up schools that were nothing into something. He is one incredible man and I am very fond of him. He is an example Christ follower and we should all take note. I honestly cannot express my feelings towards the Tree of Life Orphanage, Roger, the kids that lived there, and the kids at the schools. I am positive I never will be able to express the feelings. A piece of my heart is still there in Buriram, but I know I will return there one day to see the faces I love.
Thank y’all for reading and supporting me! I hope you enjoyed this blog and I love the comments so please keep them coming! I will also have another blog post coming probably within the next day or so because alot of spiritual work has happened in the past few days. Haha leaving you on a cliffhanger haha. Just trying to keep you interested. Once again thank you, God Bless, AND PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!! 🙂
