So…keeping with the illustration of the bird flying against the wind in
mind, I realized, too, that if I wanted to fly with the Spirit of God, I
could not get in a mode where I resisted the Spirit of God.
It’s amazing how you give God the cares of your heart, all the pressing matters and as soon as He takes them, you reach out and take it back from Him and begin worrying, crying, snottin’, and slobbering over a situation all over again. The way I see it, once you give a matter over to God, the enemy is quick to come and start whispering in your ear and taking your focus off of the fact that God will take care of you. It’s crazy!! And it’s what I done…for many years of my life. With this situation, not so much, but only because I have looked back over the course of my life and I realized that I done this waaaaaaay too much. I’m trying to get out of this. I needed to change how I think, how I saw God.
Since I’ve arrived here in Swaziland, it’s amazing the perspective of God that I have now. Just how He got me here is amazing in itself!! Today(3.14.08) I celebrate 2 months of being here in Africa!! Although I came here with an initial purpose (to serve the Black family), God has taken it a step further. His Wind brought me here to Africa and His Wind has not stopped blowing. I’m holding on, I’m riding, and I’m not letting go. The Lord has connected me with an amazing group of people here in Swaziland. I’ve been serving here with Team Ignite of the World Racers and have been connecting with them more and more over the last month and a half. Soon, we will be traveling as a team to Central America. I’m a world racer now!! Mike Paschall, my pastor, and I arrived here January 25, 2008…and so did the world racers. Looking back, my first day here was a bit chaotic. I met more people than I know and hours later, I remembered no ones name. But it was all good. Now I’m one of them! Who knew I’d be a world racer?? God knew. But I believe too, that it was a matter of remaining in the Wind of His Spirit!
The Lord has definitely carried me; the Lord still carries me. I’m here for the ride!! I thank Him daily, even hourly, not because I’m trying to get points in with God, but because I realize how in control He really is and in my spirit I’m excited to see where the Wind takes us next. My mind hasn’t fully grasped it all yet…not sure that it ever will…but in my spirit, it’s awesome!!
Yall Enjoy The Journey!!
