Since being at the pastor’s house, I have also been able to spend some more time with him, and help out with his incredible work-load. Gift even recruited me to photograph his soccer team for a few days. I get tired just watching their warm-ups.

What started simply as a passion for the sport, has since developed into a great ministry tool for him. Gift has been able to coach the guys both on and off the field, but pouring into their lives and teaching them more about Christ. They close each and every practice and game as a team in prayer. And by having regular practices several times a week, it keeps the guys out of trouble, and focused on something positive. With so much poverty and sickness around them, this is a welcomed diversion.

Not only that, but other people from the community come out to watch them practice, and witness what is taking place in the lives of these young men. My little friend Spade even joined me one of the days, and kept me entertained by climbing all over me.

Please be in prayer for this ministry. The lives of these young men have great potential to be far more than what the statistics say for this tiny nation.
