While with Nick’s team, we spent much of our time at the Remar Center. The Remar Center is a Christian orphanage/rehabilitation center of roughly one-hundred-fifty children, run by a husband and wife from Portugal. Needless to say, they are overwhelmed by the sheer number of children. How do you invest into that many children? Between the fifteen of us (the two WR teams and myself), there still weren’t enough adults to go around.

On one of the days, we were able to take many of the children to a park up the street. It was a lot of fun to hang out with them there and get to know them a bit. There are some really amazing children there, but they need a lot of love. Many of these children are growing up without someone to pour into them; without a mentor to come alongside of them and teach them what it means to live a life of faith. Please pray for this facility and the ministry there. Pray that God will supplies the workers necessary to help develop these children to their full potential. Pray that Christ remains the center of this place.
