We have spent the last week in Panama City in the Casco Viejo area. During this time we have been able to strike up many conversations with the other travelers passing through this hostel, and have even taken a Columbian artisan under our wing a bit–providing food for her when she’s around and talking with her in our broken Spanish and her broken English. It has been really good to be able to share what we are doing with the many different nationalities that have stayed here. We even met a man that is a strong Christian and out here doing photography for the ministries his church supports.
Well, after a week of rainy days in Panama City, we are now heading out to a remote indigenous island village where the Kuna people live. They are the second smallest people group in the world and only marry among themselves. While there we will be encouraging the local pastors, doing teachings, and evangelizing to the Kunas. Who knows what else will be going on–we never really know up front what the month will hold. We are planning to stay there for the rest of our time in Panama, which is shorter than usual. Please lift up the people we will meet, the pastors that need some refreshing, and the teachings we share.
