HE> me

His love> my love

His children> my comfort

This month in Vietnam has really impressed the title of this blog on my heart. It’s not about me. It’s not about all the cool sites and things I get to do on the Race, although God is ever good in allowing me to experience so much of His world. It’s about being real and raw with the world in the area of love. It’s powerful!

I think it’s easy to love when everything is perfect and all of the conditions you are experiencing are first world luxuries. But love calls us to more. Justice for the world calls us to more. It’s this calling to more that allows us to step into the footprints of Jesus and let the splendor of who He is captivate the world we walk in.

I was listening to a podcast the other day by Expressions 58 church out of LA and I love what the speaker had to say about living a life filled with beautiful justice. I loved the definition of justice she used! Justice is winning back every lost opportunity for love. Justice and love are best friends.

When you know Jesus and see the world around us and the hardships people face on a day to day basis, justice calls us to more. Jesus calls us to more. The oppression doesn’t have to remain, we can bring hope of The Father. Hearts don’t have to stay broken, we can bring healing through the blood of Jesus. People don’t have to remain in darkness, we are called to shine light and shine brightly for His glory. We get the honor of being warriors of justice and ambassadors of love to a world that needs to know the hope of Jesus, the beauty of the kingdom on earth.

Jesus chose to use me and chose to use you as a vessel. The world does not have to remain as it is, He calls us to be world changers. So often I think people believe that we can’t make an impact…that’s such a load of crap. We have Jesus, the hope of glory, working through us to reconcile a world that is seeking after more. They want more. We can point them to more. We simply have to be willing to say, this is not about me; it’s about filling the rooms of heaven with the children the Father loves.

Don’t get me wrong, we will grow individually on the Race. We will grow in life. The Father has shown me that I am a gorgeous daughter of His. He has spoken that I am worthy, a light, His ambassador of love. He has granted me peace and allowed me to walk fearlessly as I attune my trust to sink with Him. I am always growing. He will always make sure of that- He loves me too much to keep me the same forever. But the beauty of our Jesus, is He uses His love through us to transform lives and He also uses His love through others to transform us. His justice is seeking to bring His kiddos home, not condemn them for wandering away.

So l choose justice and love and I am running the good race towards His heart. He calls me to more! To step outside of myself and allow Him to take over! It’s a rad ride when He leads and I never want Him to leave the wheel!
