“God, what do You have for me today? Where do You want me to go? Who do You want me to influence?”
I wake up in the mornings and ask this question. What does He have for me today? For 10 months He’s had me traveling the world sharing His love. What about now? What about this month? What about this day?
Worship.
Praise.
He is worthy.
Almighty.
Wonderful.
Savior.
He’s called me here to bring His love. How will He allow me to do that?
Teaching English?
Loving on disabled people?
Sharing Him with the lost and broken?
Encouraging fellow brothers and sisters?
“God, today is the day that You have made. Let me rejoice and be glad in it.”
Oftentimes He whispers to me and challenges me in my service. How can I serve better? Where is my heart in service? Do I need an attitude adjustment? So often I do need to realign my spirit with His.
“God, how do You want to use me in these last 45 days?”
“Be My light in a dark place.
Proclaim My name.
Show My love through your actions.”
I only have this one chance. Today is the day. There’s no time like the present.
His love is waiting. His love has been patiently waiting for over 2,000 years. His love is meant to be shared with everyone: the lady walking down the sidewalk, the guy you sit next to on the bus, the teenager that waits on your table… His love is meant to be shared with the world. Literally.
I have learned over the past year that we don’t need to preach in order to share His love. So often people sense His love in my actions. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. Yes, use your words. Proclaim Christ. But SHOW Christ, too.
Daddy.
Abba.
Redeemer.
Forever love.
How will you serve Him? How will you show His love? How will you allow Him to use you?
Begin each day by asking Him this: “God, what do You have for me today? Where do You want me to go? Who do You want me to influence?”
