5:00 am: Alarm goes off
5:10 am: Get out of bed
5:20 am: Started packing up room
6:00 am: Finished packing
6:10 am: Out of house
6:20 am: Finished last minute cleaning touches on house
6:30 am: Arrived at Pastor's house for breakfast
7:00 am: Said our sad goodbyes to Pastor and his family
7:15 am: Started walking to bus station with all our packs
7:30 am: Arrived at bus station
8:00 am: Bus is supposed to arrive but still waiting
8:30 am: Bus arrived
8:50 am: Finished packing bus
9:00 am: Bus departed Morogoro, Tanzania
A little while later…
9:00 PM: Bus arrives at Malawi border
9:01 pm: Realize the border is closed
9:02 pm: Find out border doesn't open until 8 am
9:03 pm: Secretly want to cry or cuss..not sure which one because we are going to have to spend the night on the bus.
9:15 pm: Go on search for bathroom
10:00 pm: Dinner at a sketchy border restaurant
10:01 pm: Begin praying the sketchy food we are eating will not make our night even longer
11:59 pm: End a long day of travel

12:30 am: Get on bus to try to get some sleep
1:30 am: Woke up because it was too hot to sleep
2:30 am: Woke up because roaches were crawling on us
3:30 am: Woke up because people kept bumping into us getting on and off the bus
4:30 am: Woke up because people were being loud
5:30 am: Woke up because all of the above was going on at the same time
6:30 am: Jesus had mercy on us and finally allowed the sun to rise ending the night from down under
7:00 am: Get off bus, brush teeth and go to the bathroom
8:15 am: Walked to Tanzania border
8:45 am: Finish crossing Tanzania border
9:00 am: Walked to Malawi customs and border
10:00 am: Cleared Malawi customs
10:05 am: Walked to bus ready to leave
10:10 am: Discover that we have to empty the entire bus for inspection
10:12 am: Unload the entire bus putting all our bags in one huge pile on the ground
10:20 am: Started waiting outside of bus with no activity by the customs officials
11:00 am: Malawi customs officials finally decide to check our bus
11:05 am: Malawi customs officials decide it's not worth the hassle to actually check the bus
11:15 am: Start reloading the bus
11:45 am: Still waiting on bus to leave
11:55 am: Bus leaves Malawi border
11:56 am: Bus stops again for no apparent reason
12:03 pm: Bus leaves (again)
2:30 pm: Stop for lunch
6:30 pm: Due to the imminent threat of puddles forming beneath the passengers, we stopped on the side of the road for a bathroom break. Boys to the bushes on the left. Girls to the bushes on the right.
6:40 pm: Left the side of the road
10:00 pm: FINALLY arrived at hostel in Lilongwe, Malawi
41 total hours from the time we woke up in Morogoro, Tanzania until we arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi.
