Last week was training camp for all of the squads that are leaving for The World Race in September.

It was an amazing, yet stretching, week of spiritual formation, physical activity, getting out of my comfort zone. At camp, I also had the opprotunity to meet the people that I am going to spend the next year of my life living along side.

We will be launching from Chicago the first week of September to serve God's people around the world! Our route tentatively includes: Malaysia, Austrailia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Ukraine, Romania.

K-SQUADI will be traveling to each country with a group of around 55 people (K-SQUAD.)  I've only spent a week with these people but I love them all already!

We really do have a variety of people, skill sets, gifts, and personallities that make K-SQUAD what it is.

About half way through the camp we started doing team building activities.

Through prayer, observation, and one-on-one interviews with each of us, AIM staff announced our teams…

Here's a little bit about the people that I am going to be serving along side to start out The World Race… I've stolen short excerpts from each of their blogs, but to get a better idea of who they are, click on their names and check out their blogs for yourself!

I'm currently finishing up at the small but incredible South Carolina School of Leadership. I love alllll of God's creatures…minus mosquitoes and maggots(maggots due to an oatmeal mishap). I love reading, creating art, the thought that everyone is wierd, spontaneous and crazy adventures, scuba diving, sailing, any thing having to do with nature and a challenge, and listening to Josh Garrels:). I often wonder why I love popcorn so much, who was the genius that came up with white chocolate, and why is it that when something says don't touch…your desire to touch it has significantly increased.

Driving in the car with me you will find that the radio is 99.9% percent of the time on, whether I am singing at the top of my lungs with friends, jamming along with family or it's just on humming in the background, I thoroughly enjoy it!

I desire nothing else but to bring His love to all the corners of the earth, to share my testimony with a heart of total praise so that others may know Him, and to shout of His amazing grace and mercy so that everyone knows that nothing could ever separate us from His love. He has raised this woman, once dead, to life, and I am ready to be used by Him to bring His life to others.
Here I am LORD! I am ready for Your call.

I am so excited to be on this journey!!!  I am humbled that the Lord is going to let me serve Him in such a mighty way.  I may have thought something like this would be impossible for me a year ago but I now know that this is what He made me for.  I was made to make disciples of men and He made me to do that by bringing his word to the nations through the World Race.  I pray to be bold and proclaim his name while still at home preparing to go as well as while I am on the trip.

God has put in me a desire to join the World Race so I can share his love around the world.  I am so excited to see what he has in store for my life.  I ask that you join me on this journey as I live out my dream of serving and giving the hope that Jesus has graciously offered to others around the world.

I am from Atlanta, Ga, well technically stockbridge, Ga. But who know where that is? I am a senior at North Greenville University where Lord willing I will graduate in May 2012 with a BA in Christian Studies. Dont really know why I picked christian studies?? Well I though I wanted to go in to "vocational ministry." My time at college has been very enlighting to what ministry is and how the body of Christ (the church) is to function. The idea of vocational ministry is really not on my radar in how the culture views it.

I am super excited to see how God works through us as well as how He works in each one of our lives.

Please pray for us as we prepare to serve the Lord and His people together!
