Another project is completed successfully by the grace of God and the willingness of our team members! The blue and yellow teams served the family with the girl in the wheelchair. We painted the room in which she spends most of her time in, as well as their kitchen. In her room we painted a mural on the one wall and a wave of stars going around the room in bright colours. Portraits and windchimes were added for a more homely feeling to brighten up her days. We asked the girl what she would like the most and her answer was a bed and a Barbie. With all your support we were able to provide both! They asked us for a Bible, which God provided to us, so we hope that God will bless them with His precense and revelation as they study His Word. A ramp was also made so that she can at least get out of the house into the shining sun. Here she is with her sister on her new bed!

Meanwhile, other members of the two teams renovated the house of the lady who collected the rocks. The condition of the roof was very bad, so we stripped it and put up new wood with a new roof. Some of her rocks were used to build her a new stove, as she has been cooking on an open fire in her house. The stove now has a chimney and will be a lot more healthy and practical to cook on. Her other rocks were moved so that the whole house could be whitewashed.

Inside of her house all the walls are black with soot and dust. We decided to add some colour by painting her windowpanes yellow with red flowers on. Her house is starting to look more and more colourful and friendly as she is! We hope to finish it today and will post photos as soon as possible!

We thank you for your support and ask you for your prayers. Please pray for all the teams´ health, as well as wisdom on building, buying and organizing everything. Greetings from all of us in Guatemala!
