My heart here has been taken here, everything about India has captured me and Covenant Children’s Home is amazing.
At first coming here, I was excited because something in my heart rose and caused me to yearn for this place. But coming here I still thought it was beautiful, and the people here were amazing, but I questioned the food. So much rice and curry, my stomach can not handle all this. No beef???? Aw naw we ain’t about that life, but yet the Lord was tugging on my heart
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few”
Looking around I can see the soil of the Lord’s hand at work. The people are ready for revival, they are ready for change, but more importantly they are ready for Jesus. These last three weeks have been such an amazing time ( hard oh yes!) But Papa has been so good in stretching us more and more and opening my eyes to what is before us.
THE RIPPLE EFFECT
And it starts with the children in CCH! These children are ones who are at risk of having a hopeful future, but CCH takes them in. Giving these children food, shelter, good education, understanding of English, love of a pastor father and mother, and a foundation of Jesus is LORD.
At this last village I fell in love the family, the village people, and the children. This for me was the hardest goodbye because I felt as if I was saying goodbye to family. These last few week have been rough with so much tiredness. It was as if Mr. Sandman was following us everywhere, but the Lord prevailed and kept us strong and full of energy even when we so so so tired.
I loved spending time at this village, and the one thing I love most about this ministry is that you can not help but see the light of Jesus in the children. The village kids and the CCH kids you see the light of the Lord shine through and it all starts here. Where these children rise and share the good news of the Lord to effect more and more people.
It is these kids that opens eyes to people around them that Jesus is LORD and there is only ONE God. It is these sons and daughter of God that the Lord will use for His harvest here in the Andhra Pradesh area to reach the lost and love the untouchables. And what a beautiful thing it is is to see and be apart of… who knows maybe the Lord will call be back after the Race.
