Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be saying that I learned how to love the way God loves by a bunch of young teenage boys.
To be real honest most of my life I thought men were not capable of loving deeply. Sure I have met a few men who truly love there wife, but what I'm talking about is a completely and totally different kind of love.
These young men I had a chance to spend a month with have taught me that men are very capable of loving with everything in them and how easy it is to live in community when you are doing it right.
I fell head over hills in love with Cambodia because of the love these kids showed me. I thought at the beginning of the month that I was going to be the one showing them how to love, but I ended up being showed how to love.
My team on the other hand was struggling big time with community, and it wasn't until we actually started paying attention to what the kids were doing that I realized they were teaching us how to love each other.
Sure we don't have it down perfect and to be real honest with you it might not happen for a while.
I can see myself going back there and staying for a very long time. In fact I didn't want to leave at all, but I made a promise that I was going to commit this to my relationship with Christ and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
