God has a way of calling his people to do things that they normally wouldn't do. For instance I'm not the kinda of person who goes very far away from home by myself. Let's just put it like this when I told my sister about leaving for this mission trip her exact words were "Wait a minute…. My sister?…. the one who doesn't like going to the store by herself is leaving the country for 11 monthes?" Which of course I tried to defend myself by telling her I was not gonna be alone. She looked at me and said "Stephanie Bartram's is two blocks away." (Bartram's is a local Grocery store) I told her hush and changed the subject.
My point is that when God calls, you do it. You don't do it because you're afraid of what might happen if you don't. You do it because God the creator of everything is telling you "Hey I have great plans for you."Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord " They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." I don't know about you but I'm not wanting to miss anything that God has planned for me. His plan for my life is so much better than anything I could ever imagine.
God didn't say it was gonna be easy, and you are gonna get to do everything that you are good at. He didn't call us to just live comfortable lives. I've tried it my way the only thing I've gotten from doing things my way is Heartbreak and dissappointment. I've been living a "comfortable" life for far to long. Now is the time to switch things up and actually do what God has planned for me! So I've made a commitment to God to say yes to whatever God has in store for me. What better way is there to live a life fully surrendered to God Will? He calls the ones who are willing. I would say and able but seriously you don't have to be "able" to live a life surrended to God. I'm positive he can give you the strength, courage, and passion you need to get the job done. Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. So if you don't think you can do something that God has called you to do, think again. We Serve a God that is much bigger then everything in us.
