Today I had the opportunity to visit an orphanage (mostly for babies) and their precious little faces without a mother or father just touched and broke my heart. I think I picked about 4 to take home…sorry Cruz!
One little girl was 4 years old and when I walked in she just threw her arms around my neck and followed me everywhere and she played with the babies with me. When I looked at her innocent face I knew it would be harder for her to be adopted because she wasn’t a baby. All I could do was just love her and tell her that Jesus loves her too.

There were about 40 babies in the orphanage and I think between all of us we were able to hold all of them and hug them and kiss them.
I thank the Lord for the opportunity to fulfill His word in James 2:27.
“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
As we leave Guatemala tomorrow a pieced of my heart will be left here with my new friends, the orphans, and the people whose lives had been touched by the Lord through us. My life has been deeply touched and changed here and I will always have a love for Guatemala!
I hope these pictures of the ophans touches you as it touched me…
