Have you ever been somewhere and it just felt like home to you? Well, that has been my Thailand experience.

During our World Race training in Matamoros, Mexcio, God broke my heart for a country and people I didn’t even know and He gave me His heart for them. So upon arriving in Thailand (after an intense month in China) I wasn’t sure what to expect or where God would lead me…but I was willing to follow.

God brought me to the heart of the Red Light District where in a previous blog I spoke about the young girls who have been forced to become “sex slaves”. My mind has never left them and various connections here kept bringing me back to them. Cruz (my husband) and I have decided to pray about how God can use us to help bring these young girls out of this bondage, even just one. We don’t know what it may be, but we do know that it is in His timing, so we continue to pray and wait on the Lord.

I was also brought to a town where God led us to live in a Buddhist Temple. During this time I was able to build so many wonderful friends. The town was quite boring and there was absolutely nothing to do in the town, but for some reason I loved it there. I actually didn’t want to leave and I think Tauna and Chad thought something was wrong with me…haha. It truly did feel like home. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about them.

“Dear Lord Jesus, thank you so much for your love and mercy for me. I am so unworthy, yet you chose me. Jesus, thank you for giving me Your heart for the Thai people. You’ve placed this love for these young girls and country on my heart and yet I know they are in Your Hands and that Your timing is perfect. Use me, God…direct my paths so my life will honor you. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Please enjoy the photos I took of the people and country that I love….my home for the past month.
