Dear family and friends,

My heart is overjoyed to be writing to you about this exciting opportunity God has called me to do! Long before I even realized, God placed this desire in my heart, and I believe God has aligned everything in my life to lead me to this very opportunity. In September 2014, I will be heading out on an 11-month missions trip (known as the World Race) through the Christian organization, Adventures in Missions.

For the past two to three years, I struggled through the darkest and most difficult time of my life. I felt trapped, depressed, hopeless, and completely lost. I was searching for hope and answers in everything except God. But by the grace of God, I surrendered my brokenness to Him and rediscovered my identity in Christ. As I rededicated my life to the Lord, He slowly released me from these strongholds that were suffocating me. These past few months have especially been filled with blessings, healing, vision, and prayer.

I don’t know what God has in store for me in this incredible adventure, but I believe that He is asking me to take this step of faith. Despite my ongoing fears and doubts, I have never felt more at peace. I know this is what God is calling me to do and I’m just choosing to follow. I am committed and ready to serve as His hands and feet and share the love and hope of Jesus Christ!

My route will take me to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Botswana, Swaziland, South Africa, Turkey, Albania, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.

I will be living out of a backpack, traveling with a team of young adults who are passionate about the same vision. My team and I will backpack each country and come alongside churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, work with victims of human trafficking, teach English, help meet the needs of the area, and bring the hope and love of Christ to the nations.

I am beyond grateful for this opportunity that God has given me. He has been so faithful, leading me to this very point, and I have every confidence that He will continue to provide for my needs. But, I cannot do this alone. My hope is that you will consider partnering with me on this journey together. Your prayers are most important! Please pray for the preparation, team unity, support, strength, courage, wisdom, patience, perseverance, health, protection, healing, and open hearts, now and throughout my trip.

In order to be fully funded on the World Race, I must raise $16,285. This covers all of my expenses for 11 months on the field, which include transportation, food, lodging, and medical insurance. This does not cover travel gear, travel to and from our training camp, and all the required shots; I will cover all of these expenses myself. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift, or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and duration. I have enclosed a response card, inviting you to share in this ministry. Adventures in Missions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a long-time member of ECFA. Your donations are tax deductible. You can pay by check/money order, credit card/debit card, or EFT.

Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions and write my name clearly in the memo line to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570. You can also make your donation online; you can do that through my blog www.samsong.theworldrace.org Just click the “Support Me” link in the left side of the page to donate by credit/debit card. I am very excited to see God shape my life and the lives of others in the coming year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. I would be honored to go as your representative to bring the Gospel to the nations. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

In Him,

Sam Song
