I am so excited to come home and be with my family and friends. And so sad that I will be losing my new family, at least in the context that I have had them for this past year.
In less than 3 months I will be home and as of now I have about $25 in my bank account. I still have to purchase a plane ticket to get back home from California at the beginning of December after my return from Malaysia (my last month on the Race.) That ticket will most likely be no less than $125. I will also have expenses that I will need to take care of before I will beable to get a job upon my return to Wisconsin. (Phone bill, rent, my Compassion International child, food, other personal expenses- I am estimating that will be around $300 for my first month home.)
So my financial need right now is around $425.
