Suggestions for Future Racers Regarding Training Camp:

There were seriously very difficult parts and moments I often wondered, “WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?!” However, I learned a lot and God gave me just a taste of what’s to come. I suggest that racers come to training camp with open hearts and open minds. I truly had no idea what to expect before camp and didn’t think I had expectations. But when I arrived in Tennessee, it wasn’t anything like I had expected it to be. Don’t have expectations of training camp and be prepared to drop any you may have about the race. This will help you in dealing with disappointments and be more focused on the Lord's role in your life and His plans for you, not your own.  Expectations of the race may include: Your route and specific countries you plan on going to, the people on your team, the people on your squad, etcetera. Once you drop your expectations you can be open for God to work in your life and mold you these next 11 months.  At first this was difficult for me, but I realized how even though I want my own plans so badly, God knows me better than I know myself and has MUCH better plans for me.

Jeremiah 29:11:
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
