I've been off the Race for SIX months, back in the States for FIVE, and living in Georgia for FOUR. So what do I have to show for my time spent back in the daily grind of American life?
I came to the Center for Global Action in January specifically to be a part of an intentional community, receive discipleship from wise mentors, to become a better writer, and learn as much as I could about videography.
As an apprentice in the marketing department, the video team believed in me enough to allow me to make the new CGA promo. I spent the majority of my time outside of class and my duties as a copywriter focusing on this first crack at video.
Hopefully my media skills will improve as I continue to learn and grow. But for my first go at Final Cut Pro and the first time I've actually used a video rig, I'm pretty satisfied with the result.
I'm so grateful for the teachers and mentors here at the CGA who have encouraged me in jumping over my spiritual hurdles and increased my learning curve with video and media. Thank you to all my supporters for believing in this unique four month journey and it's process.
This year of my life has set me up up to walk in the Spirit that God has given me with more integrity and character, and be a storyteller and media resource for missionaries all over the world!
June 18-July 5th I'll be leading a mission trip to Nicaragua, and July 10-30th I'll be serving with long term missionaries in Ireland! For my summer missions I'm still in need of $1,500 in the next week!!! If I do not reach this deadline I will NOT be able to lead and serve for either of these trips!
Also I'm still looking for supporters to partner with me during the next five months of learning and leadership. My support raising requires $450 per month through September 2013.
