Hey! If you haven’t figured it out yet… My name is Rick Brown! I’m 22 years old and went to school for Pastoral Ministry. I always thought that I would stay within the border of the states and continue to further my studies in Pastoral Ministry to one day plant a church. I had it all figured it… Until I went on my first missions trip two days after my graduation. As I flew out I thought this would be my first and last missions trip. While there, we preached to many different churches, traveled to orphanages and loved on children, and did two weeks worth of VBS…my heart fell in love! It was on the trip where I heard about the World Race and I thought what an amazing adventure that’d would be. But I thought it wasn’t for me and that I needed to keep my focus on schooling. Once I was back home, I continued to fill out applications to continue the path I was on. I got excepted and planned on go in the Fall of 2014 with the World Race running in my mind the whole time!! Then one evening, the Lord, in the most loving and gentle way spoke to me saying: “Rick, imagine Me holding a bow and arrow. You are the arrow and for the past two years I have steadily pulled you further and further back. I have pulled you back as far I can and am ready to let you fly. Now, I can continue to hold you like this for the next four years or..I can let fly into the place I’m calling you!

It was in the moment I know He saying, “GO!” And here I am. I leave out in January 2015 going on Route 2. I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store. WHAT AN ADVENTURE THIS WILL BE!! I am very thankful for the season I was in school and I now know that Lord had me there to ready my heart for this upcoming season. Follow me on this adventure!
