Hey everyone!

I leave in short 6 days for training as I prepare to lead my team of beautiful ladies to Jamaica.

Over the past few weeks, I have loved getting to know a little more about the amazing girls I get to lead through our team facebook page. We are all really excited to meet next week! I can’t wait for us to serve one another as we grow and serve the island of Jamaica. Pray for these girls as they take this step in faith to leave home and serve overseas!

Here are a few updates on my trip so far!

  • I have raised $400 for my trip! This is over half the amount I need. Praise the Lord! If you are still interested in donating, please click the “support me” link above. I appreciate and thank you so much for your help financially!
  • We will be living in Kingston during our time in Jamaica! We’ll be working with our hosts, Raymond Lindsay and Ruth Smith, at Eltham Missionary Church and the Spanish Town Tabernacle.
My team will be helping lead and facilitate Vacation Bible School for the local children through sports, crafts and Bible lessons! So excited about working with the next generation of this country!
We will have opportunities to serve in community outreach, home visits, and evangelism in the area. There are a few other local ministries that we will be serving, but our team will split up into smaller groups to reach more people at that point. Those updates will come as they happen later on! Pray for the children God has hand-picked for us to love on this summer.
  • As far as personal training, AIM has been so intentional in leading and praying for us leaders as we prepare with homework, online safety programs, team management and financing. I’ve been learning how important it is to let the Lord lead me in how I speak with my team, and not let myself get in the way. This has deepened my capability to hear from the Lord, and shown me my own inadequacy had I tried to go at this in my own strength! Pray for my humility. I look forward to our training at the AIM office next week!

Those are all the updates I have for now!

God woke me up this morning with this word, and if you’re anything like me I need to hear truth first thing in the morning when anxiety likes to set in. Here it is:

“The things that so easily overwhelm you have absolutely no effect on Me and my relationship with you. I cannot be affected by your fears and worries, so live above them, with Me.”

Thankful for hearing that, hopefully you can live in it today!

Thank you for partnering with me in this short term mission. I have some exciting news coming soon about what I will be doing after this trip, so stay tuned!
