This was a kid who was with us our first night in Haiti. He looks exactly like a kid here named Winshell that’s how it sounds i don’t know how to spell it. One of the sweetest kids i’ve met in a while. Me and Tommy are basically dorm dads, as i’ve stated before and this is definitely that kid all you parents know about, that one that you’ll let him get away with anything he does.
I know I just got a blog up from here like yesterday or maybe even today? I’m not sure our days are so busy they run together. BUT i wanted to re-blog because through all the confusion of 60 kids, 16 of em ours, wakin em up at 5:30, showered, chores, breakfast, devotion, summer school, lunch, more showers, dinner, devotion, showers, and bed…. we have a vision! This orphanage fills these kids with scriptures and surrounds them with prayer and songs of praise before every meal, before school and more. They’re very priveledged, they have orphanage directors, Sister Gladys and Pastor Henri, who are filled with a ridiculous amount of love and passion for these kids. I can’t imagine them being filled with more love. But I know that God has us here to see them filled with more love. Our main vision God has shown us is a vision to see the hearts of these kids connect and make sense of what is in their heads right now. When that happens, these kids are going to be so strong in their faith being able to walk out what they learn day in and day out. These kids are going to live with a fire, a pure, innocent, refining, and contagious fire.
If you’re wanting to know what to pray about, pray for the hearts of Sister Gladys and Pastor Henri, the staff here, and for these kids to connect the dots and start developing a relationship. Pray for us to wait on God and His words and not do things outside of His will.
