Do you remember as a child when you had to peel off your first band-aid? I know personally, I would fight and struggle to avoid the temporary pain of its removal, but as I matured, I began to understand sometimes you just have to rip off the band-aid and be done with it. Throughout all my preparation for this trip, I have had one giant band-aid firmly glued to my skin, and now I reluctantly must rip it off. Here we go:
I need support.
There, I said it. Asking for money is never a conversation anyone wants to have. It’s a pride thing, but that’s a discussion for another post.
Perhaps you have been looking for an opportunity to share your blessings with another. Maybe you’ve known me for two decades, or two minutes. Either way, I ask you to give because:
1 – God calls us to give.
2 – It is important to invest in that which is greater than ourselves.
3 – Some people are called to go, others have been blessed to be able to give.
Ask each day passes, I feel more like David staring up at my fundraising goliath, which looms over me, and I find more and more truth in the understanding it’s NOT about me. I cannot do this on my own. I am incapable of convincing anyone to give me $15,500. I am also incapable of making that kind of money in the next three months. I need you (a lot of you actually).
So here’s the breakdown:
$3500 by September 27th. (All checks my be in the mail by the 13th.)
$7000 by December 18th.
$11,000 by April 11th
$15,500 by July 1st
You can either support with one-time donations or monthly support. One-time donations work best for me reaching my initial goals.

It doesn’t matter if it’s $5 or $5000. Each dollar helps bring my call to serve the unreached and unloved people groups across the world that much closer. And, did I mention, your donations are tax-deductible?
I know this has been a fairly light-hearted approach to such a serious need, but I would be incredibly humbled and grateful for anything you can do. I don’t deserve it, but these people do deserve to hear about a love and a peace that passes all understanding.
Phew! There, I forgot the band-aid was even there to begin with.
Live a Life Worth Sharing,
Nate
