I’ve been trying to figure out how to put the thoughts of the last day into words, but I have been struggling to find the adequate words.
Last night, there was a rape victim who was brought here for refuge.
She was fourteen years old.
A few of our groups went into the house and prayed. One of the girls who lives here, Milagros, ministered to this girl. She is also a rape victim, and her daughter Genesis, is her child from that rape. Milagros showed this girl compassion, and told her that she was safe in these walls. That’s what this place is. A refuge for those who are broken. A beacon in a dark, crime riddled country.
Which brings me on to what we are doing on Wednesday. At noon, Matthew, Dillon, and myself will be on local radio on Mama Gracie’s radio show, talking about what it means to be a Godly men, and how to treat your wife and children. I’m really nervous, because we will be talking to 250,000 people all over the municipality of Talanga. And I’m not a father or a husband. But we have the opportunity to plant the seed of change in the hearts of thousands of men, some of whom may be like the man who raped that poor girl. Pray for us as we do this. Pray that God will touch the hearts of all the men listening.
