Things You Will Miss Most When the World Race is Over

The first 15 things I could think of so that I wouldn’t bore you too much :))

  1. The community that once seemed to so frequently agitate you will be the one thing that you WISH you had again.
  2. The walks to local markets…Stores like Walmart, & Meijer seem to be way too overwhelming…choices like picking out what kind of butter you want or what kind of cereal you want will leave you to want someone else to do the grocery shopping for you!
  3. The love you gave & received. Now how to create that where you are without your team?
  4. Team prayer + feedback. While sometimes painful but true in the moment feedback helps you grow into a more godly man or woman.
  5. The amazing infamous Y squad worship; enough said.
  6. People around you talking in foreign languages. It’s not always bad when you don’t understand what people are saying 🙂
  7. Living out of your backpack.  When it’s all said and done we don’t NEED all of the junk we have here in America. The more stuff the more choices we have to make + the less focused we are sometimes on our God given purpose.
  8. Being surrounded by Christ followers who love & pour out until it hurts.
  9. Tea time!
  10. Nap Times! laying in those hammocks from 1-3 in Cambodia was def a blessing. Other countries understand the concept of REST.
  11. Dancing @ church in Africa.

12. Bucket Showers! haha

13. Squatty potties. (haha I know …you think you will never miss them but then the sound of automatic flushers scares you to death when you arrive @ the JFK airport.

14. Beautiful scenery: sunsets, fields of sheep, mountains in Kenya, the oceanside in Thailand…these aren’t everyday occurrences.

15. The family unit God put together during the world race…your team. You will miss them so much & you will wonder if the 7 of you will ever all be together again?
