The Choice to Rejoice

“My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth”- Psalm 108: 1-5

This morning I woke up early. The sun was shining bright and I felt the peace of the Lord…so I decided work out early in the morning and give God the best of who I am here…I have been feeling wreary and tired but today the Joy of the Lord came over me and reminded me if I just sing out and praise him, and that he would renew my strength…

When we wake up in the morning we have to face the choice. The choice whether or not our circumstances, our lives, and in our being we will rejoice. I have learned that while in Africa, life is not always easy…but we have a hope in an eternal life which dwells inside each and every one of us. It is what carries us on through each day…It is what we should cling to and hold onto tightly. We are loved. His compassions and love never fail us. He chases after our souls. He delights in us… He is a God of details.

Heaven can breathe new life in you…

It can bring you unending Joy…

His Love can consume your being…

So sing out praises…Shout unto the Lord!

The Battle is won forever & we are winners in Christ,

We can be the change, the generation which chooses to THANK.

Thank you Daddy for all the blessings you bring.

It makes my heart smile.

You bring glimpses of Heaven on Earth.

I choose to seek and see your face when troubles surround.

When there is darkness looming, I will allow your light to break through.

You are always near and that promise is true,

Your presence is what I am holding onto,

Your peace comes where I go,

I see Heaven, Heaven, Heaven,

All Around….

I choose to rejoice… in you Father!
