September Support Update
9/23/11
I want to say a humongous BIG THANK YOU to all those who have been supporting me on this journey…!!
It is a big blessing and honor to be able to be here in Africa to be used by the Lord in so many amazing ways…!! I never dreamed or imagined a year ago that this is where I would be. My heart is so overwhelmed with thankfulness…
God has been breaking my heart for the broken, and he has been changing me from the inside out into a more beautiful woman of God. I am humbled and taken back that the Lord has brought me from where I was even a year ago, to where I am now spiritually in my walk with Christ.
During ministry with my team, only by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the help of Jesus, I have been able to pray healing for the sick, to comfort widows, to convert Muslims to Christianity, and see many lost come to Christ. Praise God for that!
Our team recently has been working with the street children here…While in Uganda, I am seeing these street boys turn their lives around and break free from addictions… we are sharing the hope and love of Jesus with boys who have no hope. It has been so heartbreaking to see them but also to see glimpses of hope in their eyes when we share the Gospel with them… is all worth it. We were able to wake up at 5 in the morning this week, and at 6 we brought them bread, and tea. We told them about Jesus and since then we have been ministering to them in a field. Yesterday they threw out some of their glue bottles and drugs. Some of our team burned them while the rest of us got them some bread for dinner. These boys sleep on the street but we were able to minister and love on them… So amazing. Please pray for them as we continue to minister to them. That funds would come for them to be able to go to school, and that they would stay off of the street. These young boys range from about 12 to 24 years of age.
There are so many needs in all of these countries, and as I travel one of my goals is to share what I am learning with my supporters and those of you back home. People need to see and know what is happening in Kenya, in Uganda, in Rwanda…in Asia, and in Europe. The manifest presence of God is needed in these countries. There are so many without hope or without knowing Christ. I know God has called me to be one of his disciples and share this with many people around the world on this 11 month journey…
I would be honored if you would like to support me, and come along side with me through this journey, either monthly or even one time. So far the total support raised so far is $6,745.16.
I am still in need of $3,754.84 by 10/31 in order to continue on the race to share the love of Jesus and the Gospel in Asia.
The total amount needed in order for me to be fully funded is $8,054.84. After Asia our squad is continuing to Europe…
I also do not have a support advocate and am praying for God to answer this prayer as well. If you want to do any kind of fundraiser for me while I am away please just let me know by e-mailing me. Threads of Hope bracelets is one option. Also, I was going to have a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s in Charlotte but the plans fell through. If anyone feels called and would like to host this event…please let me know! It would be a huge blessing!
Also, as you support me during the World Race, I would also like to stay connected and be aware of any prayer needs in your life as well. Please keep in touch by e-mailing me. @ [email protected] I know that the Lord answers and hears all of the cries of our hearts. I will also be posting pictures of ministry work on my facebook account.
God Bless you…Thank you for all of your prayers & support : )
Sending my love back to the US to all of my family and friends….!
Praying for you…
Love,
Megan
