There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.1 John 4:18

Tackling The “Reality” Monster

What is your “Reality” that holds you back? Your “Fear”?

Maybe your reality isn’t really a reality at all.

Maybe its a financial situation, a family struggle, a disagreement or differing of opinions in faith, or maybe you have a few monsters from your past that like to creep up and tell you are worthless or that God doesn’t even love you anymore.

The truth is, all of us have SOMETHING that can hold us back from the full potential that God has laid out for us. The truth is none of it is even real. If you think about it, people use the expression ” Living in the reality of something”, and they think that this means we should just live ONE way. The NON-risky way, the Selfish way, the Secure way. The easier route. Do we ever really stop and just ask God what HIS way is?

The REAL truth is our security in Christ. In Christ alone our hope is found. He is our Rock, our Shield our Strength. All of ETERNITY is with God. Why do we get so caught up in the day to day things, when every moment plays a part in the forever?

If you just stop to think about how we know reality from fantasy, it gets a little tricky. Considering our thoughts, actions, and days are numbered. Here today, gone tomorrow.  Words come & go; we should choose them wisely. Sometimes we can get so caught up in the here & now moments that we forget the FOREVER moments which will be shared with God someday.

So we should not live in fear of the “What If’s” or “What Now’s” or the “Where is this going’s”. We should live out each moment as a song played for God. We are his instruments which he chooses to work through. It”s up to us whether or not we play our tune the way that God would like to hear it. Although when all the chords and melodies are playing in unison it sounds much, much better! That is why one part of the body is just as important as another part of the body of Christ.  In order to play our song to God’s tune we need faith. This takes perseverance and it is produced by faith which also lays out character.

True love casts out fear and when we LOVE God with our whole heart we are saying ” I trust you Father” & I love you & I know the plans you have for my life are GOOD.
