Dear Friends and Family,
It’s hard to believe that I will be graduating high school this year and moving on to the next chapter of my life. I was faced with the same question everyone is, “What do you want to do with your life?” The only thing I was sure of was that I loved God with all my heart and that I love helping others in need. After a lot of prayer and research I learned about a mission trip called the World Race. After watching their video I knew in my heart that this was definitely what God is calling me to do with my life and that I could change the lives of so many people by going on this epic journey.
I will serve in 3 countries, Thailand, South Africa, and Nicaragua, over nine months serving the poorest of the poor and living out of a backpack and tent with a group of 6-8 others. Through the World Race, my squad and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to, plant churches, work in orphanages, and bring hope of God’s love to many people.
I will face many challenges all throughout the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure, there are two ways that you can help support me. One is by praying for me and my team, the other is by supporting me financially. World Race participants are required to fund raise financial support. In order to leave fully funded on September 4, I need to raise $12,400. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 9 months of the trip.
