Dear family and friends,

I am writing this letter to share with you the exciting opportunity that God has recently opened up for me. Beginning in January, I will be leaving on a missions trip with an organization called Adventures in Missions. I am participating in the World Race program, which travels to 11 countries over the span of 11 months. The countries I will be traveling to include; Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. During this time my team and I will be partnering with local churches and ministries sharing the gospel, serving at orphanages, working with human trafficking victims, teaching English, evangelizing, and spreading the love of Christ to communities around the world.

Since graduating college, it has been a time of uncertainty. Jobs were not lining up the way I expected them to, and after a few months I was still unsure of what I wanted to do. I became frustrated and discouraged, and that is when God opened up a door for me to join the World Race. I decided to take a leap of faith and commit to this once in a lifetime opportunity. I want to live for something more. I want to be a light for Christ in a hurting world. I want to love those that society has forgotten about and the World Race will allow me to do just that.

We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and to serve the needs of others even if that means stepping out of your comfort zone. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” I will be leaving the familiarity of home for 11 months to share the love of God and be there for the underserved. I will be living out of a backpack during my trip and constantly having to trust in the Lord to provide for my basic needs. I am excited to see how God is going to use me during this time to further his kingdom. None of this is for my own personal gain, but for God and to live out the life Jesus calls me to live.

The total cost of the trip is $16,617. This includes training before the trip, travel, housing, food, and other expenses necessary. The cost of the trip is definitely overwhelming, but God is faithful and I know he will provide. If you would like to partner with me financially on this mission’s trip that would be extremely helpful. No matter how small or large your gift, it all counts and I am greatly appreciative. If you cannot partner with me financially, I would ask that you please partner with me in prayer. As I am on the race I will need prayer for the communities and ministries we are supporting, my team, my travels, and safety. I believe that God has called me to ministry and I am excited to share the gospel and bring the good news of Jesus Christ to those in the communities we are serving.
