I’M FULLY FUNDED! How amazing is the Lord that he sent me every dime I needed to spend this year bringing His Kingdom to earth? It is such an amazing feeling. I will be posting on ways that I can still use donations and support towards the personal costs when returning to the States, but for now, let’s talk about some of week two in Nepal!
I have learned a lot about minister this week. Back home in the States before The Race, I would have said ministry evolves mostly preaching on Sundays and Wednesdays, and a handful of church outreach programs. I would have never said anything about “Prophetic Painting.”
Prophetic paint was on our schedule for Monday. I would be lying if I said I didn’t look at the schedule with a bit of doubt that morning. What does prophetic painting even mean? Our ministry host then explained we would be praying for thirty minutes for the Lord to show us our paintings, and then using thirty minutes to paint. We were to pray for a message that would help someone in need that day. While praying, I saw mountains, which was no surprise to me since we are in Nepal. I also saw either a setting or rising sun. I started painting and had a feeling I needed to check my bible for verses that mention mountains. Micah 4:2 seemed so fitting. “…let us go up to the mountain of the Lord.”
After finishing our paintings we were told to load up on a bus and ride across Kathmandu to the local main bus hub station. This area is a known hotspot for many illegal activities from drugs to red light districts. Once we got there we were to pray for the Lord to show us who we were to give our painting to. This is where I’ll be the first to admit I find it hard sometimes to hear exact words from the Lord, but I am getting better with understanding my “gut feeling.” There was a group of three older ladies I felt a pull to, so I decided to go and start a conversation.
Between the three, they might have know twenty English words, which is many more than the words I know in Nepali, but I trusted the Lord and pushed through the conversation. I explained the meaning of the painting and that I wanted one of them to have it. Turns out she was a believer of Christ, a Nepali Christian!
How awesome is the Lord, that He would lead me all the way across The Kathmandu Valley with a small water painting of slightly subpar quality just to have me give it to a sister in Christ. I’ll never know if she kept it, but by the smile on her face, I imagine it will always mean something to her.
Please continue to pray for the amazing country of Nepal. Asia is on fire for the Lord. It is on the edge of an all out wildfire, but it needs your help. As I said I AM FULLY FUNDED so as far as this trip goes I am doing well, but I still have many personal costs once I get home due to being gone for so long. Please consider still supporting me through that. As always PLEASE share this post and always be in prayer for this Squad, my Team, and Me.
God Bless!
