"So Marcie, what exactly are you doing in Moldova?" Well I am so glad you asked! Let me tell you about it.

This month I have been serving at a school helping out with kids with special needs. In this culture, children with mental and physical disabilities are looked down upon and isolated from society because they are not considered to be "normal." It has been amazing to have the opportunity to show love to these kids and play with them.

We are teaching English to kids at school and trying to share the Gospel through teaching them bible verses in English and telling them about Jesus. The children absolutely love learning English with us and they all want to know more about what life is like in America.

I have done a variety of different manual labor tasks this month including shoveling tons of dirt, sweeping leaves, moving bricks, cleaning, cooking food for my team, etc. Physical labor is something that I really enjoy because I love getting to work hard. It is a joy to be able to serve God through a variety of different tasks.

I have the honor of being able to lead people in worship and share my testimony at church. God has been redefining what worship is in my life and so I have been learning a lot about worship throughout the race. I am very blessed that the Lord has gifted me with musical talents so I may be able to glorify Him and bring others to the throne room of Christ. I love being able to hear people singing Christian songs in Romanian while I sing in English.

Another part of ministry is pouring into the people around you. I have 6 wonderful teammates and we get to spend almost every minute of every day together. I am learning that it is vitally important to love the people around you first and foremost and to always put the Great Commandment over the Great Commission. It is not always easy, in fact it is quite difficult but the Lord is teaching me how to die to myself everyday. We are family and we choose to love eachother through everything.
