Never in a million years did I think people would refer to me as "Reverend Wallace" but this month, I have been blessed with that title. In the past few weeks, my team and I have been visiting houses and preaching the word of God to people. We have the amazing opportunity to go to people's houses and bring church to them. We enter into people's homes with no knowledge of who they are, where they are from, or what they have been through and we talk to them about God.
I get to preach to kids and to tell them how God has a plan for their life, that they are sons and daughters of the Most High, that they are loved and cherished by Jesus Christ. I get to preach to older people who have health issues and are in need of physical healing and tell them that God is a healer. I get to preach and share my testimony to recovering drug addicts and alcoholics who are trying to stay clean. I get to lay hands on a policeman and pray for protection and safety for his entire police force. I get to pray blessings over families, children, and grandchildren. I get to pray over businesses and preach to people about how God is our ultimate provider. I get to preach to Catholics who dont believe the same things that I do but I get to encourage them and tell them about Jesus. I get to preach to men and women who are 30 years older than me and who tell me that they are blessed by my words. I get to pray over people who don't know Jesus. I get to I get to bring the kingdom of God to earth.
Bringing church to people has been my favorite ministry on the race thus far. At first I did not like preaching to people because I did not feel confident in my abilities but God has been teaching me that if I am confident in Christ Jesus and rely on the Holy Spirit to speak through me, that God will show up. And man He definitely has!
I have loved meeting new people everyday, from all different walks of life, and bringing church to them. I get to tell them about Jesus and encourage them to walk in their faith. I can say with confidence that God has used my team and I to bless every single person we have met here. And that is not because of our abilities or our own doing, it is all because of the Lord. God has used us to bring life to people and to bless them with words that He gives us to share.
I am humbled that God has trusted someone like me to preach to people here in Nicaragua. I am blown away but how much He has used me here. I have learned the importance of sharing the word of God and being obedient when the Father tells me to speak to people.
I am truly honored that I have been given the title of Reverend Wallace and that I get to preach the word of God to the nations and will forever cherish this title.
