Coming to Honduras, I never realized how challenging the language barrier would be. If you know me, you know that I love to talk and I am a people person so not being able to communicate with words to the people here has been difficult. It has been frustrating because I just want to talk to people and I can’t!
So the other day, I whipped out my hacky sack. When I was packing for the World Race, I never realized that this would become a tool of ministry for me. But I am so glad that the Lord led me to bring it! My hacky sack has become more than just that.
Every time I bring out my hacky sack people just flock to it lol It’s amazing how one little bean bag can bring people of all different walks of life together. I have used it to play with little kids and bring laughter and God’s joy to them.
Although I may not be able to speak the language here or communicate verbally, I know that my hacky sack is ministering to people and because of that, I am thankful. I hope that God can use the times when I am playing hacky sack with Hondurans that they can experience laughter and love that only comes from our Father.
