Forerunners
Training camp has come and gone, and the part that everyone anticipates all week long during camp is the moment when we finally get to see who our teams are. That being said, this is us; team Forerunners.
These are the people I'll be serving alongside of during the race. When we were attempting to find our team name there were a few ideas that got tossed around, but the one we ended up settling with, and really felt like the Lord was showing us was the name Forerunners.
A quick description of what a forerunner is: Forerunners prepare the way for the King. They would go to the places that the King was going to and they would proclaim that the King was on his way there. Which is exactly what my team and I want to do. Announce the coming of Jesus, show people that he is coming.
The really crazy thing about this is that no matter how badly we want to go before the Lord, he is already there. He's preparing our way while we try to prepare his way. So all this is really to say that God is going to do what God is going to do and we get the incredible opportunity to be a part of it!
