Hey! My name is Madeline Ishmael but I have been called Maddy since I was little-so feel free to call me either(: I am from a little bitty town called Greenview in the great state of Illinois. I am 20. I am part time at my church and I work part time at a coffee shop.
Delightful ME!-
I am always thinking…pondering the revelation of our beautiful Poppas creation and the mysteries that linger in the midst of this world. As mewithoutyou would say, ” I used to wonder where you are, these days I cant find where you’re not!” His creation instills us with pieces of Him…everything beautiful is just a mirror into who He is. His beauty is beyond my visual perception-making the exploration of this earth so gratifying. For me, even in the midst of ugliness that we come across and experience in life, His beauty is found as a covering of grace and mercy-revealing the essence of Him-beauty.
O Christ, He is the fountain,
The deep, sweet well of love!
The streams on earth I’ve tasted
More deep I’ll drink above:
There to an ocean fulness
His mercy doth expand,
And glory, glory dwelleth
In Immanuel’s land-Samuel Rutherford
I am very goofy. The joy of the Lord is my portion and I partake His sweet love. I have two sister, 22 and 16, and extraordinary parents who have been my best friends and helpers for all of my 20 years of life. They have been great vessels in my life who encouraged, taught, disciplined, loved passionately, and supported me throughout my life.
I love words.
I love poetry.
I love reading.
I love writing.
I love laughing really…really…hard.
I love learning.
I love the reality that for a whole year I can step into a lifestyle of simplicity and hardship for the love of God; to bring good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the year of the Lords favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.-Isaiah 61:1-2 Woo hoo!
I am, you could say, in love with coffee. I have worked at a coffee shop for 3 1/2 years; 3 at Starbucks and about 6 months at a local coffee shop known as Grab-A-Java where I work with just absolutely stunning women.
I love chocolate milk. I love baking and cooking, on occasion. I LOVE HONEY!
I love trying new things, meeting new people, going on adventures, and camping/kayaking.
I thoroughly enjoy thrift store shopping (thank you Bekah).
I went to ministry school in Charlotte, NC for six months. Moved back home in April of 2010. And now I work part time at my church-house of prayer. To be on staff at the house of prayer I basically help my pastor (Scott) and Katie with whatever they need: scheduling, someone to do slides, entertain them, back rubs, make them laugh, prayer, prophesy…ya know, the usual “helper” duties.
Here’s just a peak into my heart and life on a daily basis! July 2011 race-here we come!!
