In exactly 10 weeks from TODAY I will be launching for the Journey of a Lifetime!!! I can’t believe it’s so soon. I know these 10 weeks are going to fly by and I still have sooooo much preparing to do before I leave. I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate the prayer coverage and support from all of you!
But let’s talk about Training Camp…WOW…talk about… S T R E T C H E D…I really had no idea what to expect when I showed up. Yet it still looked nothing like what I thought it would look like. And for all of you future Racer’s out there…I’m sorry…I’m not going to give a bit of it away! The whole point of Training Camp is the surprise of it. But I will tell you that it is ROUGH, it is TOUGH, and you will probably CRY at some point…and the question, “Is this REALLY what Jesus is calling me to do?” will come up. GOOD! When these tough moments come, know that The Lord is doing a work in you. He’s preparing you for something amazing. Just keep pressing into Him through those rough/tough moments. HE is the only ONE that will get you through…during Training Camp and during The Race. He WILL show up and He WILL reveal His promises to you. Of course there are some good parts to Camp though…like meeting your SQUAD and breaking into TEAMS! I have to say…I LOVE my team and I’m SO excited to see how life is going to be on The Race.
Testimony Time!!
So last month I had to make my first deadline of $3,500 before I could attend Training Camp. It was the day before my deadline and I still needed $1,000. Thankfully, I wasn’t really worried about it. I knew Jesus was going to come through for me. If He’s calling me to go then He’ll provide every penny. But the uncertainty of how it was going to show up was a bit of a trust battle for me. I ran out of time to plan any more fundraisers and all I could do was wait and see what He would do. The next day I received two donations that completely covered my first financial deadline with an extra $150! A few days later I checked my account to see if my balance had updated. Surprise, surprise…my balance went from $3,650 to $4,950! Not only did He meet my first deadline but He brought in an extra $1,300! He’s ALWAYS on time and He always exceeds our expectations.
I’m so thankful for the way He provided for my first deadline but I’m still $2,050 away from my next deadline of $7,500 on December 16th. Please continue to cover me with prayer for all of my preparations for this trip and while I’m on the feild! Thank you to all who are partnering with me on this journey! I can’t Thank you enough!!
