Bolivia
Sitting here in my room alone for the first time in days. So many things crossing my mind making it impossible to stick to one topic. Just finishing up breakfast we had all been asked to share our testimonies with the Hosts Micky and Cooka. Joane’ went first. As she poured her heart out about how God brought her to the world race an interesting thing happened. Cooka began to cry, she said it is because of God that you are here. She said that her church here in Apolo has been praying for years for someone to come and help them, to teach them, and to encourage them. She said, my people are very poor and they don’t all know Jesus. God has provided Micky and I with the means to house missionary’s and has given us a passion and desire to take care of Gods people. She said to each of us with tears in her eyes “you the beginning, your the start to pave the way for those to come.” She said, “thank you for leaving your lives and family to come and love my people.”
As we all sat there with tears in our eyes a silence fell over the room… The past week almost every single one of us was struggling with home sickness. But now it was hinged. In all of our hearts a seed began to take growth. It’s leaves started to bare themselves and our hearts began to beat for Gods beloved Bolivia. And I think for the first time all month we finally knew why we were here. Why God rerouted our trip to Apolo, why god allowed us to be on an 19 hour bus ride. Now we know it was to pave the way. We are an answered prayer.
This is how I know God will provide. Because he is using us to answer the prayers of his beloved. And Yes I’m still willing to Go. Send me to the ends of the earth. I will do it because God is with me. He will never leave or forsake me or his people.
