Often times I tend to forget how big God really is. There are times when I know He will come through for me, then there are times I find my self saying He will, but my actions will show otherwise. This week God really came through with an unexpected plan, and I'm deeming it BLOG WORTHY!

About 5 months ago I was having some severe stomach problems. It was all choked up to be a big load of unsure possibilities. In order to have somewhat an unanswered solution, the lucky people at the hospital have to run lots and lots of necessary, but perfectly unnecessary tests. THAT COST A LOT OF MULLAH! Later I received a bill for an ungodly amount of money. (this is my first medical bill, mind you) As you can imagine my mind went completely crazy thinking of how I'm going to pay this bill, pay off my car, as well as make sure I  have everything I need for WR! For months the war in my head went on and on to the point I wanted to tuck the bills away and pretend like they didn't exist. Obviously that would be a stupid idea, so I got on my knees and said LORD…. what do I do. Almost instantly I felt the Holy Spirit say. "what do you mean, what do YOU do?" "Last time I checked I'm GOD, the Alfa and Omega, Prince of Peace, Beginning and End." "Don't you trust me?" "I have never left you or forsaken you , I've never failed to take care of you or come through for my princess, I promised you I'd take care of you in sickness and in health, in good and in bad times and forever and always. YOU don't have to do anything but trust me." My mind was instantly at peace as I sought the Lord and repented of my selfish thoughts of how I could take care of Gods business.

A few days later, I found my self at the park with some kids that I babysit. They were off playing and I picked up my bible and began to read Hebrews 13:5-7 that says; 4 Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have because God has said , "I will never fail you or abandon you." 6 So you can now say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. what can mere people do to me?" 7 Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come frome their lives, and follow the example of their faith. The word that stuck out to me was the word Confidence. I believed God could do it and I believed He would, but there was no confidence that He already did! I instantly scooped up the kids and went back home to make the most Important faith building phone call of my life.

Now, a few days before the park, I had made multiple phone calls to head offices about assisting me in some sort of financial help. Needless to say I was denied help because of the amount of people living in my home. 10+ people.  When calling to check up on progress, a man by the name of Mike picked up the other line. He Began with 1 question. Why so many people in your Household. Well Mike, my parents are foster parents, adoptive parents as well as have six children of there own… And before I could get to the real Juicy part where I tell him that I pay all my monthly bills and try my best to not be a financial burden on my mom and dad, he stopped me. He said "Im a foster parent too!" with incredible amounts of excitement in his voice he continued " Now Miss Olivia before we go any further with this conversation I would like you to thank your Mom and Dad for what they have done for the state of Washington and for their sacrifice and commitment to Gods children." then he proceeded to tell me that I was unfortunately denied for getting any financial assistance.. I WAS BUMMED… but I also knew that the Lord had a plan. He quickly lightened up the mood by telling me that we would try to work something out and so graciously put me on hold… for THREE hrs… -_-   After 6pm came and went, he finally got back to me and said he was still hard at work on the case and that I would have to call back the next day. He said he would make sure to put it in the notes the outcome of what he could drum up with financial services.

The following day was the park day and at this point I'm back at home, I have had an encouraging word from the Lord and I said alright Lord, Show me how big of a God I serve! I told the Lord that I trusted him with this and that if I was still denied that i trusted him to provide the money I would need to make this payment.  I called that number and I kid you not MIKE answered that phone call ( side note: this is a 1-800 number, and the chances of that are extremely slim) He said Praise the Lord I have incredible news! He said, "lets give all glory and honor to God because the Lord works wonders for those he loves, I'm Happy to Inform you that your bill of 459.69 has been paid in full"! I was in complete shock and in awe of the God I serve. How He, time after time shows up and provides for my needs, and gives me the wisdom to know how to trust him even when I cant see how the story will play out. The Blessing seems to be worth so much more when we choose to trust the Lord.

Thank you Jesus for Mike and his boldness and his compassion on me and my situation. He will never know how truly blessed I am to have been able to have a short conversation with him about how great you are and to just to be able to relish in awe at your marvelous works with a complete stranger was Incredible.

He is my helper, so I will have NO fear!
