It was such an experience being in Dongxiang! The people there do not see foreigners very often, so we were looked at and stared at whenever we walked in the streets. I just smiled and waved at everyone, feeling like a celebrity because of all the attention! Once the people get to know you and see that you are just a normal person except for being a big taller, having a bigger nose and rounder eyes, they are such a friendly nation!

Our main focus was praying for the people, and it was an awesome experience as God made known to me their specific needs, and shared His heart with me concerning the people of China. The locals honoured us with a meal together with the elders of the village. Even though we couldn’t speak Dongxiang or Chinese, I have faith that God touched hearts and revealed Himself to His people in China.
