As my trip here to the Middle East comes to an end, I look back and see how truly blessed I am. Since coming over here I have been to 2 different spas, I’ve been to the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee, I joined my friends in escaping a escape room in Jerusalem (a must if you’ve never tried them), I’ve meet and made friends with people from America that I would have never have meet in America, I’ve got to see how the Bible Study I started 2 years ago at the Jerusalem School of Bethlehem has continue to grow and flourish, I got to make pancakes (chocolate chip, of course) for students to help them through their finals, I got to spend time with great friends, and best of all I feel like I was here spending my time in a way that helped me grow with the Lord. I will be sad to leave this amazing place but I know that God has other amazing things for me! I am so blessed and all I had to do was say, “Yes God, I trust You.” I am nothing and no one special and yet God chose me to answer His call and I did. Next time God calls you to do something and your like, “I don’t know God, that sounds kind of crazy,” just remembered my first time answering His called sent me over seas in a week and a half after knowing that JSB even existed, with almost no time to fund raise, about $2,000 to get me through the school year, a 1 way ticket, and not knowing anyone over here. I answered what sounded like the stupidest idea of my life all because I felt God call me. Being a true Christian, following God, it’s not always fun, it’s not all ways safe (look at how the 12 disciples died), and its not always comfortable, but it is always worth it in the end. Don’t live your life in what ifs, don’t miss out on the blessings God has waiting for you. If you are feeling God’s call ANSWER Him. It will best the best decision you ever make, even if everyone else thinks your crazy for your crazy faith in God.
